Durante los a\u00f1os que estuvo fuera de la banda, \u00bfse mantuvo en contacto con los muchachos?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Poco. Todos comenzaron a tener hijos por lo que nos encontramos en fiestas infantiles yporque hab\u00eda una especie de \u00abclub de las esposas de Maiden\u00bb (risas). Mi familia sol\u00eda visitar a Dave en Hawai. Cuando dej\u00e9 la banda, no hab\u00eda resentimientos.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Debe haber sido una decisi\u00f3n dif\u00edcil. \u00bfHan sido muchas noches sin dormirsobre eso?<\/strong><\/p>\n

S\u00ed, por supuesto. Fue la mejor decisi\u00f3n para m\u00ed y para la banda. Yo no estaba en un buen estado de \u00e1nimo en aquella \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00bfSe puede hablar m\u00e1s sobre eso?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Honestamente, prefiero no hablar de ello. Lo que voy a decir es que fue una decisi\u00f3n mutua.Supongo que se cansaron de m\u00ed tambi\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 cambi\u00f3 para ti y para ellos cuando regresaste a la banda?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Madur\u00e9 un poco. Debe sonar extra\u00f1o, pero cuando tuve hijos, hice mis discos como solista. Sent\u00ed un poco m\u00e1s de confianza sobre mi persona.<\/p>\n

Suena raro cuando me dices que carec\u00edas de confianza, sobre todo por haber escrito algunas de las canciones m\u00e1s importantes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bueno, nunca me he considerado un virtuoso y no lo hago. En la d\u00e9cada de 1980, me cost\u00f3mucho. Siempre pens\u00e9 que alguien podr\u00eda encontrar esta debilidad. Yo no soy un \u00abGuitar Hero\u00bb. Soy apenas Adrian Smith de Hackney (un barrio al este de Londres) (risas). Perocuando regres\u00e9, la primera canci\u00f3n que grabamos fue \u00abWicker Man\u00bb. Me sent\u00ed feliz. Y me sent\u00ed diferente despu\u00e9s de estar lejos de la banda.<\/p>\n
